About Travel Health Direct
Travel Health Direct was set up in 2000. Our aim is to provide a travel health service that meets the needs of business travellers by providing appropriate and convenient specialist pre-travel health care. Business travellers can often find getting pre-travel vaccinations and advice a real inconvenience. Our service makes life easier and safer for the traveller. Josephine Boyle RGN, OHNC, DipTravMed(LON)
Nurse Director
Jo did her nurse training at the Royal London Hospital and has worked as an occupational health advisor in London, Africa, China and Eastern Europe. She specialises in combining occupational health and travel health and has provided travel health services for multinational corporations and private travel clinics. She set up Travel Health Direct in December 2000. Jo is also an active member of the Central London Occupational Health Nurses Group and her experience includes teaching on the diploma course in travel health and medicine, and conducting research at the University College London, Academic Centre of Travel Medicine.

Dr Caroline Evans MBBS, MRCGP, DipTravMed(LON)
Medical Adviser
Caroline is the Medical Advisor for Travel Health Direct & Nomads Travel Health Clinics. She trained in London and Cambridge and has been the expedition doctor for organisations travelling in Australia, China, Central America and Alaska. She also trains expedition staff on how to deal with medical problems overseas and is the author of health sections for Lonely Planet 2004. Caroline is a General Practitioner and GP trainer in Central London.

Jason Gibbs BSc (Hons),MRPharmS, DipTravMed(GLA)
Pharmacist
Jason is a specialist travel health pharmacist and an adviser to Travel Health Direct. He is a very useful source of information on vaccines, malaria, and travel related medications. He also has extensive experience in providing medical kits and supplies for business travellers as well as for large expeditions to resource poor areas. Jason manages the pharmacy and is the head of the medical department for Nomads Travel Clinics.

Dr Andrew Dickson AFOM, MRCGP, DCH, DTM&H
Occupational Health Physician
Andrew is an occupational health and travel medicine specialist and has spent many years working in Africa, Asia and the Far East. His experience includes industrial health, construction, mining, and oil and gas exploration. As well as running ‘staying healthy’ courses for business travellers and expatriates, he carries out on-site audits around the world. His advice on emergency care, disease control, and host country legal standards for occupational health can help reduce medical and insurance costs, and reduce litigation. It can also reassure the shareholders! Andrew acts as an adviser to Travel Health Direct and is the principal physician for Medical Services Overseas.
